Understanding Fukushima’s Radiation of Over 5,000,000 Bq/m²
Fukushima City has five million Becquerels of radiation per square meter. If there is a nuclear accident someplace, the emergency workers that would be sent in are not allowed to be exposed to more than 7.4 million Becquerels in 66 minutes of exposure, before the radiation becomes lethal.
So roughly 98 minutes of wandering about Fukushima, is all it would take for a person to die. This planet needs help. Stuart Wilde www.stuartwilde.com
From Wiki: The becquerel (symbol Bq) (pronounced: ‘be-kə-rel) is the SI-derived unit of radioactivity. One Bq is defined as the activity of a quantity of radioactive material in which one nucleus decays per second. The Bq unit is therefore equivalent to an inverse second, s−1. The becquerel is named after Henri Becquerel, who shared a Nobel Prize with Pierre and Marie Curie in 1903 for their work in discovering radioactivity.[1]
