The Courage to Create
The white canvas of snow is now melting and the crocuses are pushing their painted heads out of the earth and signalling that spring is upon us, it’s time to follow the guidance of Gaia and get creative.
Creativity is a spiritual thing, it opens the heart chakra and allows for a sense of well being and joy to envelope you. I have been fortunate in my lifetime as my work has allowed me to build and create new experiences for people. Fire walking, Tai Kwondo on a mountain top, meditations with live snakes, excursions to other worlds with Ayahuasca in the Amazon, so there have been adventures I’ve shared with my readers.
I said in my book ‘Infinite Self’ that you are the God force. When you begin to create you tap into the morphogenic fields of all creators, you’re linked to people like Da Vinci, Mozart, rock stars. Expressing your inner self through your natural talents benefits others and that spreads the light. If banging your bongo makes you giggle with delight, then beat it with merriment. If limbo dancing makes your eyes sparkle, limbo on down. Learn to sew with threads of light. Be brave, build your energy and let your heart expand wider.
In his book “The Courage to Create” Rollo May says that people fear failure and their shame suppresses their ability to create, so they don’t attempt to express themselves. This inhibition can be a form of specialness and it’s a ghoul trick. Be humble, express your self without fear and never mind if people like it or not.
Imagine you are a hippie chick/dude who loves to play the guitar and sing, but you suppress this because you feel that others may not enjoy your music. In the hiding of this passion you are harming yourself. For the sweetness of your voice and the melodies you make, spread a soft resonance, you are playing the sounds of light. The ghouls don’t want this. They want conformity and fear, they want to destroy your great loves and rob you of your dreams. Don’t fall for it.
Have you always wanted to be a trapeze artist? A friend of mine in her 50s did, so she decided to join a circus club. Do you dream of swimming with an endangered dugong? Well learn to dive, explore the underwater worlds and then move onto the Inner Worlds.
The sacred brew Ayahuasca can help you to see these dimensions, but it also allows you to see this 3D reality with a soft eye. Suddenly you feel the depth of colours, the softness of a cat, the healing properties of a horse, the way that every small thing in life is orchestrated; you know the ‘butterfly effect’ which says that if a butterfly flaps its wings in Asia it creates a hurricane of the coast of Florida, on a cellular level.
Every word you speak, every look, every touch holds a pulse; make it one of purity. You create a beautiful reality built on trust in yourself and an inner serenity, or you create a harsh reality built on mistrust and fear. You choose in every moment.
Beyond our day-to-day lives, our work and our commitments, we should let our inner selves blossom. Put love into the shed you build, the cakes you bake, the garden you grow and allow your energy to expand sideways, like a rose-hued ripple.
