National I.Q. Tests
I saw an interesting list of National Average I.Q. ratings. The people from Hong Kong are very bright and those from Equatorial Guinea are as thick as two planks. I once did one of those I.Q. tests where you have to put little squares into larger squares and then into triangles, and work out what the fourth triangle looks like.
I was hopeless, I’m not linear, my I.Q. is zero. I tossed the test in the trash! I was smart enough to do that. So maybe my I.Q. is 1 at least. Stuart Wilde
Average IQ of Countries
The average IQ in the United States is usually set at 100. Groups within the US score different average IQ’s, such as 115 for college grads, or 85 for African-Americans. Similarly, average IQ varies from country to country, shown in the 2002 book IQ and the Wealth of Nations (sets Britain at 100):
