Stock Operator’s –Dow VIX
Hi Guys,
I mentioned Gulf Keystone (GKP-LSE) at £1.44 and again at £2.33, it just hit £4.05 this morning. They say there is a bid coming if you bought it take half of your profit now in case the bid goes south.
C money take it !!!
The “VIX,” is a gauge of market volatility and investor fear. Last week it went from 17 to over 20 but the S&P also went up from 1306 to 1335. The VIX normally only goes up when the market goes down, so this blip in the VIX is a sign the Dow might correct soon.
The VIX ETN is called iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (VXX). It trades a bit higher than the actual VIX index.
Silver and gold look weak.
HOU.TO (oil ETF) I like to buy it when it get close to C$6.00 and sell it when it goes over $6.50 …. steady money … all year long. A nibble here a nibble there.
