Allied Irish Bank
I used to recommend the AIB in Dublin as they are good people and the Irish government is guaranteeing their depositors at the moment, the problem is the Irish government is utterly broke so their guarantee is probably worth Fanny Nanny, like nuttin’ honey.
The new chairman of AIB said recently he’s looking at all options for the bank including liquidating it. EEK!
Their shares are dropping very fast and I moved all my money out bar a few hundred Euros that I needed to pay for a credit card bill. If you did open an account there I’d get out quick they won’t last. Thanks for listening. (sw)
